Requiem Bell_7It was funny the way that a house for the dead looked more like a mansion than any house for the living Webster had ever seen. Heavy red velvet curtains smothered the windows, and there were small statues aesthetically positioned on every surface, the majority of which depicted things such as naked women wrapped in flowing sashes, or swordfish leaping out of a storm-tossed sea. The floor was a deep red like the curtains, but the only black to be found was in the wood of the furniture. In fact there was more white than Webster had expected. The front entrance's floor was a white marble, and the walls were all a sparsely designed chalky color t Requiem Bell_7

Requiem Bell_6Webster awoke in darkness. For a moment he thought he was in his own bed, but the absence of the other boys' snoring and the thickness of the air quickly dispelled that notion. He moved his fingers and felt velvet beneath them. Frowning in the dark, he tried to sit up, but smacked his head on something hard just as a hot flash of pain shot through his ribs and arm. He clutched at his chest and rolled onto his side, attempting to spread his feet. Both hit a hard surface.

Slowly, Webster reached out, feeling a silk-lined wall not a foot from his face. He pushed at it, but it held fast. He rolled back onto his back, pushing at the Requiem Bell_6

Requiem Bell_5The days flew by, and October became a blur of red and orange leaves, packed bags, and a tearful Mrs. Minnie. Though they weren't moving until the start of November, both Ira and Webster had long-since packed their bags. Mrs. Minnie tailed them around the house, fussing over their attitude problems and laying hug after hug on their shoulders with fresh sobs. She'd convinced them to at least wait until they had a last Halloween together before moving into Mrs. Leewood's house, and out of obligation the boys had agreed. They were starting to regret that decision.

I've Made It Through The Wilderness

Thank God for that.

School suddenly decided that having free time was a privilege, and so they assigned a load of stuff at once!

College apps...yeah...I have ONE submitted. Whoop. Only six more to go! I need to get on that...
I have an essay, actually two, and I just need to make sure I get em edited and put onto the apps by mid November. Probably will do that this weekend and next week.

So Requiem Bell as you may have noticed (or not...) has not been updated in quite some time. This is because of all of the above. BUT, I'll have you know I've started a post, and it's a good'un. This is the big information one, so it'll be difficult to write out, yes. ON THE PLUS SIDE, I haven't been completely blowing it off, in fact I've been plotting out character pasts quite successfully. Work ethic, I gots it.

Not much else to say. Brothers Bloom is out on DVD and I want it badly. Just saw Fast Times At Ridgemont High, and it is a beautiful thing XDDDDDD

I'm not going to review it because...well, there's just too much for words.

More as I think of it, just wanted a new journal entry
